Housing in Thailand
There are many foreigners who are building their houses in Thailand. Many of them have got same kind of guarantee that they will keep the house within a reasonable time. Thiws is in fact a complicated juridical process, based upon trusting some legal or natural local person in the country. I do not want to deep into details, but according to many testimonies this is not an easy task. There are some people beeing fooled!
One can, however, claim for sure that the economical aspect is very temptating. With low prizes on houses and low cost of living the future for pensioners with a house in Thailand sems to be very good.
Let us look at some nice projects in Rawai in Phuket. Jag vill först berätta om några hus i Rawai i Phuket. This for example:

This house is not within our (Karin's and my) resource limits. It costs 31 milion Bath, i.e. about 700 000 Euro, but there is no doubt the house is worth that amount. And why not three families sharing house and satisfaction. The present owner is Mrs Seweib Wuthaithamaporn, who just - in September 2008 - finished the project and now wants to sell:
She is the owner of Orchidacea Resort since 1990 and I think she must be one of the most trusty persons to buy from. She is planning to build 5 more of this kind.
Her daughter - Mrs Siriporn Wongpasarn - big boss since 1990 at the resort, is married to vice MD Mr Sathaporn Wongpasarn:
They have big plans to build houses for pensioners in Rawai within a region of 200 x 200 meter. Each of these houses will cost about 150 000 Euro for 30 years + 120 Euro per month. We have had the pleasure of being asked for advice about how to design and develop this project. The place is situated 2 km from Platsen ligger 2 km från Nai Harn Beach - maybe the most beautiful beach in Phuket with well known perfect water:
Rawai Beach is a place where you fast and easily can reach the islands outside the beach (Bon, Coral and Raja islands):
In the mornings you can buy fresh fish here very cheap.
