This may be one of the most spectacular things you can see in Phuket. Here you will find rock islands rising up from the sea in majestic formations. Their vertical walls are covered with varying vegetation. In the sea level you will find caves, which you can enter when water is low and where you may be locked when high tide occur - thus take care. One of these islands - Koh Hong (hong means home) - offer an exciting trip into a big hall. Here there are thousands of bats hanging in the ceiling. Another island has a big lagoon reachable only when it is low tide. Everywhere on this island you see remarkable stalactites.

The road up to Sarasin Bridge runs close to Pang-Nga Bay on one place. During one of my biking tours under a cruel sun I needed to be cooled down. Thus I walked out in the shallow water and got the following pictures:

From here you do not see those dramatic rock islands - Pang-Nga Bay is rich in variety.
